Blackstar HT5R Mk1 Combo overdrive issue

Hi, I wonder if someone can point me in the right direction . . .

I use a Boss GT-10 with my lovely Blackstar HT5R (Mk1).

I have tried different ways (direct in from GT-10 to font of amp); Effects Loop from GT-10.

My issue is that the clean volume on the amp is full up and the drive and volume on the distortion set up on about 2 and still way over th4 clean channel.

What am I t wrong here? Is there an issue with the amp? The volume setting on the GT-10 is at midnight and when I hit the foot switch it is way over the top.

ANY help would be gratefully received.

Try lowering the input level on the GT-10 and see if it helps to balance the volume levels.
