Hi there - new to the forum, but long time Blackstar man!

Is there a method of dating Blackstar Amps by serial number? Thanks for your thoughts!

It's encoded in the serial number for some B* amps, so my guess is that applies across all B* amps.

Assuming that's the case, the serial number should look something like (xx) xxxx xxxxxxxx. The middle number is the date code in yymm. For example, my HT-5 is (21) 1303 xxxxxxxxx, where 1303 is March 2013.

Earlier made in Korea ones (Like my HT1R) don`t have the bracketed 2 digits and start with 2010 etc

Hi, yep Ive got a Korean HT 40 that I got Dec 2010 and its serial is 201009AD1518, so I assume that probably means Sept 2010, the rest is the serial number

Cheers
