Wanted to share my experience using an attenuator with the HT-20.

Purchased an inexpensive ($75 US) 16ohm attenuator from a guy in Utah who custom builds.

Here is a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Output-Tamer-Attenu ... 43a5203571

Well designed and built box that does exacatly what is is supposed to. I can heat the EL-34's up nicely (5 - 7 on master) and maintain bedroom levels. Doesn't get too hot and although there is some tone clipping...not bad at all.

I had a THD Hotplate (wayyy expensive) and this seems just as good.

Worth checking out....
