Line6 HD500 and a Blackstar HT60

Hi guys.

I'm very tempted to try one of the line6 hd500 modellers.
just wondering if anyone has any experience with them and the Blackstar HT series amps?
Don't get me wrong, the amp sounds great but i want to try and diversify my tone and want to give digital modelling a try.
if anyone's done this could you let me know how you'd wire it? i'd presume FX loop return into the HD to keep the tube power amp of the BS? is this correct?

Recording but i presume mic recording is same as live or isn't?
I do not have a carrying bag for pod so I didn't take it to the rehearsal just yet, but so far I am very please with it.
