S1 104 6L6 VS S1 104 EL34

Howdy all, just a thought...I wonder if the ISF control on the S1 104 6L6
is exactly the same as the S1 104 EL34 head?
Like if you a\b'ed each head side by side with ISF fully counter clockwise
wouldn't the 6L6 head sound even more "American" cause of the 6L6's?
And therefore could you put 6L6's in the EL34 head and have it sound the
same as the 6L6 head?
I wonder what the S1 50 head would sound like with 6L6's?
Interesting, anyone in the know?

Sorry mate, can't shed any light on that one for you, having owned the 100 watt head I preferred it with EL34's and the ISF set around 3 o'clock. The online demos of both the 6L6 and EL34 versions sound very different to my ears, but I would like to a/b them with the same settings, it would be cool if Blackstar did a demo like that.

I have since sold it, and have ordered the 104 EL34 version, going to be a long couple of months wait. Still have my awesome HT-5 head to play with.

Yeah, gonna have to do some a\b'n, gassin for a mesa mark v
or a series one, leaning more towards the S1, pretty cool features
especially the DPR, hmmmm....which model though....

I was thinking the same, the ISF supposedly emulates the 6L6 vs EL34....but to be honest i loved the way the 1046L6 looks and the fact the S1 now comes with 4 channel/6modes versatility....didnt care for the S1 45/ 100 before.. but now is a different story
