Blackstar Series One 6L6

Best thing of course is to check one out and give it a testride. Downside is that most of the time you can't compare it with what you realy want. I tried but was unable to get access to a 104 6L6. I made the leap anyway based on a couple of things like the ISF control, the 6L6 tubes, the price and the fact that those Blackstar guys came from the Marshall company with only one goal... Trying to make better amps!

OK I just got my amp BLACKSTAR SERIES ONE 6L6 today and all I can say is WOW..........I wont be going into work today because this amp is just pulling me to it. This head is incredible I cant believe the tones, this is true METAL BLISS.

I really like how you can dial in a real heavy thick METAL tone thats not ICEY sounding. Very responsive amp to feel and sound.

That's a screamin' deal! Even if you were to sell it at some point, I doubt the hit would hurt much.

FYI I just installed some new pre-amp tubes Groove Tubes and it made a big diffence. I like the clean channel allot better, and OD1 OD2 got allot tighter and warmer..

I ordered 2 for a band last April
after dozens of excuses, final word is they arrive at the distributor Jan 9. and I should have them by the end of the month.
I'm not exactly holding my breath on them arriving this month, but I certainly can't wait to try them out!
