Blackstar series one 200 Vs El34 and 6l6

I want to buy a new Amp. I already tried the 200 w cause a friend of mine has it. I really like the od1 and od2 channels and the way eq+isf+DPR works.... So my question is beside the wattage and the power amp are there others differences between el34 and 6l6?.... I play metal and progressive metal mainly... I like some of the the 6l6 powered Amp on the market like Mesa mark V and some Randall.. But I think others El34 valve amplifier sounds really good.... The series one 200 is different in the preamp section than the 104 version?!
