Artisan 30 Combo Questions

I played an Artisan 30 combo today. Quite a beast....very loud, even on 10W setting.

First question: on the version I played the Warm/Bright switch on Channel Two had the Warm setting on the right (Bright setting on left obviously). In the manual and the pictures it seems to be the other way round. Are there variations?

Second question: on Channel Two I found the overdrive had a slightly fluffy sound to it - almost like there were ghost notes. Is that normal or could there be a fault? Maybe the speaker needs breaking in?
