KKND any more details on your tubes? Also has anyone ever tried out the Preferred 7025s or heard anything about them?

Well, i placed a Tungsol 12AX7 in V1 and JJ ECC83s in V2 and JJ ECC82 in V3. The Power tubes are JJ EL34L's baised at 52.5 mV.

Almost achieving my perfect tone, i need more time with the EQ. But the amp sound much much much better with the new tubes. It is a relatively cheap upgrade.

What i will do next is swap the Tungsol and JJ positions and see what difference i hear.

Then, i will try KT77 8) apparently they are swappable with EL34s but need to be biased a bit hotter.

These impressions is what i remebered before i replaced the speakers, now that i did......i am astonished.......this amp rocks.

I'm really happy with the JJ power tubes. Opened the amp up a good deal over the stock TAD tubes.

Just changed all the valves on my HT Stage 100. JJ's for preamp and Svetlana Winged C's for power amp. So far sounds great but not gonna crank it till gig with it tommorow. Cant wait!!!
