....If memory serves

you would plug the internal and the external together in parallel to the jacks labeled 1x4ohm or 2x8 ohm
3 - 16 ohms paralleled would be roughly 5.333 ohms

the external cab will have a little lower output

honestly it may sound best to unplug the stock speakers
and plug the cab into the 1 16ohm jack

the 60 loves vintage 30s

Thanks, I unplugged the internal Blackstar speakers sounds better, when running them with the PPC 2x12 the output drops on the ext cab the manual for the ht60 says plug the two internal 16ohm speakers into the 2x16 input, which is what i have been running the amp since day one, and connected the orange cab to the 1x 16 input.

Hi, I have the same setup HT Metal 60 + PPC212. The extn cab has lower output but I would like to stack em to have a 412 setup. Is it safe to play around with the internal cab plugging them on diff output just to find a sweet spot?

As stated above, you'll have to plug everything into the 4 ohm tap (labeled "1x4 Ohm or 2x8 Ohm"). The problem is you are trying to run the combo speakers at 8 ohms with a cab at 16 ohms. So
  • a)You'll be running the amp at 5.33 Ohms, not 4 ohms.
b)You'll be running the combo speakers at 40 watts and the cab at 20 watts.
The only way to get that output to balance is to match impedance...in other words cab impedance matches combo impedance. To do that:
  • a) Use an 8 ohm cab, with the stock combo speakers on the 4 ohm tap
    B) Change (and rewire) the stock speakers to run at 16 ohm and run it with a 16 ohm cab on the 8 ohm tap
