Will the HT-40 Club Amp in the Venue Series be released as just a head and not a combo?

For those who want to use their own cabinets and don't want to haul around a combo when you only need the amp.

Some are saying the HT-20 is not loud enough for the gigs, but a HT-40 should be for the average joe.

It's pretty simple, the original poster is asking if Blackstar are considering releasing the HT40 as a head model so people can use their own cabs. Nothing complicated about that! ;)

The HT-20 is loud enough for band practice with its combo speaker alone and it fills nicely and cuts better then anything i have owned. I havent actually miced it up but thats the plan, but i am looking into making a 2x12 cabinet and a headshell for the HT-20, i'll post progress of course :)

The HT-40 wasn't that much louder (different speaker though) but i dont even have mine all the way up. But i dare say the headroom is much higher on the 40 though, the 20 just had that mid punch when it absolutely dimed which i like.

Both are great amps but if you are worried about the 20 not being loud enough the 40 is not much more expensive or larger.

Making a head of your own can be a fun experience though, why not give it a try!

here is a band practice clip of my HT-20 combo (before speaker upgrade, no pedals, just amp and guitar)

I love the clean tones of this little monster
