The larger HT series have a OD switch between "Classic" and "Modern". On the HT models W/O the switch, which setting is it set closest to?
I'm guessing classic mode suggests Marshall tones and Modern mode suggest ????- Usually with a lot of amp designers Modern would mean Boogie/Rectifier ish but Blackstar manual reads: When the switch is in, (modern mode) power amp feedback is reduced to give a livelier, looser response and more midrange. And I thought Mesa was usually tighter than an old marshall not to mention scooped mids so maybe modern was geared for something else?
Smaller HT voicing difference
