HT 20H head: distortion not working on OD channel?

I just replaced the preamp tubes with a pair of 12AX7EHs and that didn't fix the problem.

Another one. I understand that occasionally something slips through. We'll see how the 2nd unit works out, but I probably wont have it for at least a week.
