Hi, first time poster here. But I have been looking around info in the forums for some time.
I've had an HT 40 for about 4 years and I absolutely love it!
I use the footswitch to change channels, but I don't use the reverb at all. I want to switch my amp's channels from a pedalboard, but don't want to use the actual footswitch because:
- It takes too much space, and I only use one button (change channels; not the reverb).
- The cable is fixed; I'd like to be able to unplug the cable so I don't have to coil it up every time and have to carry it around as I also use the pedalboard at home (ht-1, by the way).
I've been looking at one button options, but before buying maybe you can help out...
Knowing that the HT-40 footswitches channel and reverb, will a one button footswitch:
1) Switch the channel?
2) Switch the reverb?
Any info would be appreciated.

Ok, found some info:

It looks that to find out I can just…
Plug in a mono guitar cable.
Then, connect tip to ground as in the video.
See what switches: channel or reverb.
My amp's on the rehearsal garage, so I won't be able to test it on mine for a couple of weeks. Looking forward to testing it out.
If you've got other tips or info still would help.

If I had to guess, channel switching is going to be tip/sleeve...or a mono cable. Reverb is most likely switched on the ring of a stereo jack.

It is tip and sleeve for the channel select and ring and sleeve for the reverb.
Make sure you use a stereo cable connected to the amps footswitch input. If you use a mono plug then the reverb will be permanently on.
