Ok, no luck on my first post. Has anyone got a HT-100? How does it compare to your last amp? Does it sound
at all like a solid state amp?

Im curious as why you ask if the ht 100 sounds like a solid state. It sounds like a thousand bucks if you ask me.. and thats based off of my ht 40 and that sounds awsome.. just the ISF isnt as good as the ht 5 and reverbs so so.

these days you cant tell the difference with SS vs tube (quality though, im not talking a classic 30 against a marshall MG10). not unless you are playing it but even then the difference would be hard to tell.

I really love all the Youtube videos ive seen on the HT stuff. But i cant seem to
find one in any music store around me. Price wise you can get a head
and 4x12 for less than the series one head. I guess im just wondering if i should
save for the series one or if the HT would be better for the price. I hate buying
gear i cant try first. thanks for the reply

Ya GT I have heard a few times that solid state can sometimes sound a little like a tube but from my experiance with a Marshall Mg head, Crate head, Fender frontman 65 watt combo, and numerious other mid sized solid state combos Ive played, my tube amps sound way better.. well only when there turned up. They sound not too diffrent when you play the tubes quiet though. Once my band at the time, got rid of thoses two SS heads for a mesa combo and an older jcm 800, The solid states sound horrible. Well thats my opinion. Actually I think my SS tube modeling Fender Superchamp sounds better than my friends Frontman

If your playing with the volume cranked or at least on a high setting, pushing those bottles then the difference between SS and valves is obvious.

yeah man, when the amp breaks up at high volumes the difference is obvious then.
