Hello Community!

I recently purchased a HT-40 combo and have been very happy with it for the most part, until recently.

I started playing in a band, and when I had to turn the master volume up at practice. (I turned it up to at least 50%), and no matter what I did, the distortion channel sounded super fuzzy, harsh, and the amp rattled a lot. Even on the clean channel at high volumes it did this. But, when I play it at low volumes, it sounds absolutely amazing no matter what I do. It's just when it gets loud. The sound is so bad that I can barely stand to play it at high volumes. I have a very high-quality guitar that works perfectly, and the amp still does this, no matter how many pedals I have (if any at all.) It HAS to be the amp.

I know Blackstar has been known to ship terrible stock tubes in their amplifiers, and I'm wondering if there is anything I can do before having to buy new tubes to get rid of this buzzing. Thank You!

I'd say it's tubes or the speaker...
