HT-20 speaker cab

Hi all,

My wife got me an HT-20 head for Christmas (how cool is that)? I typically make my own 1X12 speaker cabinets, but I'd like to make a 2X12 for this one. All I have are two 8 ohm speakers. Is it alright to use these speakers wired in series and hook them up to the "1X16 ohm" jack?
