Obviously the HT 50 head is 10 more watts, but otherwise identical to the HT 40. Why is the HT 50 head $200 more than the HT 40 combo, and that's without a cab?!?. Basing on GC prices of 599 for the 40, and 799 for the 50.

I would have expected the head to be equal in price, in not cheaper, than the combo... What gives? It's not like the 50 is made in England or even Korea. China, just like the 40 combo.

The combo was more expensive at one point but there was a price drop. Possibly due to competition or to make space for the Artist Series combos???

So they HT Club 40 has been out for a while (has the Club 50 head been out as long?).... Will Blackstar ever update it, or would they just release something new to replace it with. Seems like amps are one of the few consumer products that have a bit of staying power and aren't being updated every 3 months like smartphones and computers.
