Anybody been doing any hard rock or metal recording with the HT1 via mic ?? I REALLY wanted to buy the amp but ended up going with the HT5. Specifically because it had tone controls. The one drawback of the HT line I noticed is there is a bit too much boomy bass going on for recording purposes. So I felt the need to be able to dial it back via EQ was important, hence the decision to go with the HT5. The HT1 sounds super sweet, has a great complex midrange. But I found it boomy as heck when chugging on the E. So was just wondering, anybody on the forum having luck recording via mic, if so what techniques are you using, and do you find the ISF is sufficient for EQ control?

Sounds great, thanks for sharing !

What did you end up mic'ing? The combo or an externa cab ? If the latter, what kind of speaker?

I tried external cabinet (celestion v30´s 4x12) but this was recorded with combo`s own speaker. Gain at 14 o´clock and
vol about the same.
