1st I have to say how much I love the HT-1 (Mine is the HT-1r)
BUT
the funniest/oddest thing about it is the little red "ON" light!
Man that thing can scald your eyes out of their sockets!!

At least it isn't blue. I can't stand it when an otherwise good piece of gear has a little blue searchlight shooting up out of the top.
Isn't that funny, I'd pay extra for a cool blue light, lol.
Ummm, I thought the same thing about the laser-like red light on my HT-1R head. It refracts exactly like a laser when a clear mug or tumbler is directly in the path of the 'beam'.
I have a theory now on why they are able to offer such competitive price points though. Any poor, inquisitive sap who leans down to look straight into the lens receives a retina-scorching, brainwashing laser zap. I bet you an always fresh previously frozen Tim Horton's product that if you were to get past security at the manufacturing plant you'd see a whack of mindless, one eyed zombie workers!!! Whatever you do, never accept an invite to tour the plant, they pay the workers with visitor's braaaaaiiiins.....
