which cab?
I'm going to be getting an HT-1 in the next couple of weeks, but don't know whether to get the HT-1R to use at home for practise and buy a 1x12 or 2x12 cab for use in church/jams/small gigs, or buy the HT-1RH and a good 1x12 (or a light 2x12) and carry them arond everywhere.
I know the head + cab combination would be better, as I've tried the head through Laney GS112 and GS212 cabs as the local music store only and the old HT-5 stack with the 10" speaker cabs, and the HT-1 sounded better than the HT-5 head through the same cab, and it didn't lose out much in volume or clean headroom.
So, I could get the combo for in the house and only have to use the cab when needed, or always use a small stack! What a fab choice to have!
Loved the HT-1, it could may be do with an effects loop, but my Marshal MG30dfx doesn't have one and that's coped ok with chorus and delay in front of the amp at the volumes I normally play at.
Thanks in advance.
HT-1 and....
Not convinced by the HT408, seen the youtube reviews, but through headphones or pc speakers you can't really tell.
Also, for some reason, the HT-1RH in the UK is only rated as 8 ohms, so the HT112 or 212 were not recommended by the store I went to as they're both 16 ohm cabs.
So, anyone else got any ideas? Or should I go outside the blackstar fold for the cab?
