Plugging into a pc

Hi! I use headphones alot to practice and want to be able to listen to a song i'm learning through my headphones at the same time as playing the guitar throught them. Is it safe to plug my pc into the HT1R's MP3 line input socket through the pc's line out socket? i tried it and it worked i justdon't want to blow any thing up.
