Playing on it last night with headphones on, found myself twiddling the knobs a lot more than usual as it I thought it sounded a bit funny/different but put it down to just my ears/ropey playing
Girlfriend came home and was chatting for a couple minutes with guitar plugged in, but not being played and I smelt burning. I turned the amp off and let it cool for a few minutes.
Switch it back on, this time playing through the speaker and strum away just testing it – works fine for a couple minutes then dies

Is this likley to just be a tube giving up the goast? Seen a few topics on here talking about pcb fuses being taken out and needing resoldering :?

Edit- I took the back off this morning and no obvious signs of anything burnt out/blown
