HT1MH(Metal Head) used as portable head phone amp

For the Ht-1 Metal Series HEAD (HT1MH): When using the Speaker Emulator with head phones can you have the speaker cable unpluged from the speaker jack on the back panel? I want to use this amp as a portable head phone amp and for recording only (no cab attached)...Thanks guys :mrgreen:
