HT 1 help

I stopped by my local music store today and picked up a JJ 12au7. Ended up with The JJ in the power and the Tung Sol in the preamp. The amp sounds great now, definitely a keeper now. The JJ gives it a thick organic overdrive. The ISF actually is usable on the British side now and the overdrive channel isn't raspy anymore.

Glad you got it all sorted out. They (HT-1 and HT-5) are great amps out of the box but, as you've seen, with a few simple mods they become fantastic amps.

I think your pedals are probably blowing your fuses. If you are running too much input from the pedals, it's just causing the whole thing to fail.

If you think it's bullshit, as many self-proclaimed knowledgeable people tried telling me, I once blew a fender bass head into flames with a little 9volt distortion fuzzbox and 6 string guitar. The f'in thing actually blew out "poof" and caught fire, flames were coming out of it. Yeah, there was at least one witness... the guy who owned it, who was jamming with me. i'm going to guess that you have a 24 volt (modded or stock) pedal in your chain, or just something that puts out a lot of volts in the treatment. The HT1 is a small circuit, and I think it has limitations on what you can run into it. no biggie.
