Hi,

I’m looking to get the Metallica sound from my HT-1RH. Master of puppets tone. I can’t find the sound I like. I’ve tried with the Boss Metalzone and others but find nothing satisfying. Probably not the right settings? My guitars has EMG active pickups.

Any suggestions?

Here's the thing:

You will never sound like Metallica for numerous reasons.

BUT

The Blackstar HT1R has similar "colour" to what they sound like. I'd suggest keeping the ISF to the American side and push the gain as far as it sounds tight. The EMGs will help. But if you want more, then a bigger amp would probably help you.

BTW, have you heard of Matt "The Riff Master"?
He uses Blackstars for his Metallica covers. Maybe you can find something in his amp/settings.
