HT Boost before/after distortion pedal

I was wondering if putting the HT Boost before or after a distortion pedal would in any way improve the overall sound of the distortion.

I'm currently using a Boss MD-2 going into am HT-5 Half Stack

I wasn't here in 2012.

If I was though, I would have told him to put the distortion pedal in front of the amp and the HT Boost in the effects loop....if I was here in 2012.
