is there any differences between the two sound wise?
any advantages or disadvantages?

I just ordered the combo and I kinda wish I got the head and 110 cab but purely for looks lol

I had intitially wanted to get the HT-5 head and 1x10 cabinet, because it does look pretty cool, and I think it's kind of funny (in a cool way) having a halfstack that small. I was also planning on getting the head version, so that I could have more flexibility, like being able to use it with another speaker cabinet. I ended up going with the Studio 20 head and a 2x12 cabinet for even more flexibility though.

The two will sound pretty much the same if you used the 10" speaker cabinet paired with the head. I got the head though so I could run it with any speaker cabinet. I'm using a 12" speaker which sounds much better than the HT 10" one.

Apparently you can shoehorn in a 12" speaker in the combo with a bit of modifications though. Do a search on the net and I'm sure you'll find some info if you wish to pursue that avenue.

Yup! It is exactly the same amp with all the same jacks, plugs, knobs as the Head version.

I bought the HT-5H because I already had a 12" cab, and I personally have never liked the sound of a single 10" speaker, I have an 8x10" cab that I could raid for a 10" 1970 Celestion........but I simply prefer 12"ers for single or double loaded cabs.

Another benefit, is that when I upgrade to a "small venue" head (probably Artisan series) i'll be able to use the same cab for either.

I have a Johnson solid state combo, a Marshall solid state combo and a Vox tube combo that are all sitting unused because none of them even come close to the tones the HT-5H deliver.

Don't worry about your choice!:D I'm used to playing over a Boogie Mark IV with a 2 x 12" cab with V30's at high volumes.
But at home, the HT-5C is excellent and it's what I prefer to practice with. It has a nice tone just the way it is. I tried it once with my cabinet and I didn't liked it! You'll gonna enjoy the amp just the way it is ;)
