Hello to all
i'm new to this forum and although I have read many posts I could not figure out which speaker makes it better on this amp .. my question was:
you can replace the speaker series with a Celestion Alnico Blue 12 "8 Ohm ??
http://celestion.com/product/13/celestion_blue/
http://www.thomann.de/it/celestion_blue_bulldogs_12.htm
the Celestion is 15 Watt while blackstar is 50W. What does this difference?
(sorry for my english )

Short answer is yes.
The general rule of thumb is to use a speaker (or speakers) that can handle at least 1.5x the output power of the amp. In this case, a 15 watt speaker is 3.0x the output power of the amp (5 watts).
Another thing: you might want to use the 16 ohm version instead of the 8 ohm. The reason for that is if you every want to use an extension cab with the combo. With an 8 ohm speaker, you are limited to running either the combo speaker OR an extension cab. With the 16 ohm version, you'll have the option of running the combo speaker at the same time as a 16 ohm extension cab. Just something to think about.
