HT5 and Boss GT-10 channel switching problem - HELP!

I have HT-5 the one without the reverb and I am using a Boss GT-10 in front.

I can control the amp channel switch from the GT-10 dedicated connection but I have to "double-tap" my GT-10 controller to switch the amp channel when GT-10 is set to "toggle". If I change it to "momentary" it switches with one tap but the light on the GT-10 does not illuminate which means I have to keep turning to make sure which channel is on.

Can anyone help me here please?

Since the amp doesn't have reverb, it's an older HT-5 and the momentary setting (non-latching) is the correct one. I would check the GT-10 manual. There might be a setting to make that LED work correctly.
