HT Metal pedal no high end

Hey I just got the ht metal pedal I have been looking at it for over a year and finally got a deal on one. I have watched all the review videos & posts but I have to say I am very disappointed. It has no high end no matter how I adjust everything sounds muddy. I am trying to get that metallica puppets/justice sound or something close. Here is my set up.
1) epiphone 58 gothic explorer with a dime bucker in the bridge.

2) b52 atx 100 w/marshall 4 x 12 cab

3) various pedals Rocktron metal Planet which I can get a lot more high end out of.
I have tried running the Ht in front of the amp, thru the fx loop, different positions in my signal chain, adjusted my amp and still sounds muddy.

So does any one have any suggestions ????
