My HT-20 head suddenly died on me. There is no output from the speaker out on both the clean or OD channel. I am using the 1 Spkr 16 ohm output with HTV112 cabinet. It happened right after I pulled out an input cable which seemed noisy to swap with another cable. Here are the symptoms;

- Emulated out is still working so Pre-amp is definitely working
- Effects Send has output so Pre-amp is ok
- HT Fuse in the back is intact visually as well as checked with Multimeter
- Power tubes do seem to glow
- When i power off, sound comes on for less than a second and disappears

To me it seems like there is 'soft' Standby switch on the Input jack which has gone into permanent Standby mode. Can any one else confirm if that happens with these Blackstar amps? And if yes, does anyone know how to reset that state? Any Blackstar techs around to confirm?

Have you eliminated the speaker cab and cable by replacing them?

The Speaker Cab is working with all of my other amps using the same speaker cable. So its not a speaker/cable issue.

Examine the audio settings on the Blackstar HT-20 player. Make sure the EQ and volume levels are set to the appropriate levels.
