Blackstar HT-5

I have a Blackstar HT-5 which is at least 10 yrs old and started to get a crackle when powered up. I read various forums and this seemed to indicate that I needed new tubes. I ordered a pair from JJ Electronic which were advertised as the pair to get for the HT-5. I installed the tubes and am still getting an initial crackling when I power up. Not so loud as before and this seems to die away after a while to a completely silent amp ... until guitar played when it sounds great! Is the crackling still to be concerned about ... or just forget it?
