Okay, so, in full disclosure, I work in a music store and am a semi-professional gigging/recording musician as well. I have an HT-Dual and was about to sell it when I decided for some reason to compare it to the drive channel on the Venue series amps. Believe it or not, the Dual sounds better. Noticeably, distinctly, obviously better. And I think the Venue stuff is killer. Plus it's two channels.
Anyway, for what it's worth and my two cents and all that.
Having played with this for a while, I think what I'm hearing is more bass from the pedal. In some instances, I think it is better, but I guess it's different more than anything.
Dual Sounds Better Than Venue

The HT-Dual really is a nice pedal.
Ive never been a distortion pedal kind of guy , Ive always relied on my amps for my crunch sounds.
But as soon as I tried the HT-dual I had to buy it and its been on my pedalboard ever since.
