HT-5 tone

Sorry if this topic has been brought up before.

Which HT pedal sounds closest to the HT-5 distortion? I can't really tell by watching YouTube vids.

The amount of gain I can get from my HT-5 is just right for me, so maybe the HT-DIST? Or DUAL?


Yes, I realize I can just use the amp distortion if I like the HT-5 tone, but I've been experimenting with pedals these days, that's why.

The HT Dual has the same preamp at the HT-5 so I've read (and that's how it sounds anyway). But I think to get this sound you have to plug the pedal in your FX loop to act as a preamp. If you put it in front of your amp I think it sounds like crap.
