I can confirm that it works! I paid about $25 plus shipping, got it online from 8th Street Music. Sweet.SA_NYC wrote:Thanks for the info. Unfortunately that site doesn't seem to stock it any longer. After much consideration I just ordered a Peavey 16.5 Volt Power Supply II, which I gather is 16.5V, 1000mA. I'm hoping it will work. It's due to arrive in three days, so I'll report back.
Power Supply for Blackstar Pedals
I found in in 5 minutes with Google.
Google this:

I am also finding Power Supplies rated for 22Vdc that can run Four (4) Blackstar HT Pedals … which is what I have a need for and a 24V Slimline Power Supply that is rated 24Vdc / 5.3 amps.
I know it will run at 24Vdc … but I am checking to see if this will have any negative impact on sound quality or not … albeit I am sure it will change it slightly. I know that under powering the unit will have an effect on sound quality. It is just a matter of whether under / over impacts sound in a negative or positive way.
I will post once I know more.

And in ally … nailed it.
Acopian Power
http://www.acopian.com/store/search.asp ... =A24MT550M
As a long time recording engineer / producer / audiophile … I know that Switching Power Supplies KILL your sound quality. I have proven this numerous times in both the recording studio
Acopian builds their own power supplies and offers a Linear Power Supply that has 60 times less ripple / noise
than a typical swathing power supply. I am sure the Power Supplies that comes with the Blackstar have even a higher rate of ripple / noise.
They can convert the following to 22V
20 Volt / 6A
Model: A20MT600M
24 Volt / 5.5A
Model: A24MT550M
Expensive … but far superior to swathing powers supplies for this ridiculously serious and picky about their sound.

These were hard to find a few years ago. Now there are plenty of places who can get 16VAC, and the recent version for the 22V DC adapters. Believe me, I have searched high and low several years ago to find a supplier who made them for the 16VAC (which was the only version produced at the time). Thanks for the link for anyone looking for them now.Filmpros wrote:I found in in 5 minutes with Google.

SOLA from Emerson has been the top power supply brand at work (small panel shop). IDEC power supply referred by a previous poster is a good choice too. Take a look at SOLA's GL series. I'm certain that it'll be more expensive than the IDEC. It may be better for sound quality though.
