I need a boost for my new HT 100 coming, and I was thinking the HT-DRIVE looks just like a TS9 Tubescreamer.
Will it boost like a tubescreamer? It is a Tube Overdrive and should react well as a boost right?

Any help greatly appreciated!

I was wondering about this too, i'm using an HT-5, and looking at some videos of the HT-Drive, it seems to be much higher gain that other tube overdrive pedals out there, probably because of the genuine valve design. I'm not too sure what response i'd get if i used both the HT-drive with the dirty channel on my amp

I have never played the HT-5, but I have play with both a Silver AM TS-9 and an TS-808 and they don't hold a candle compared to the gain that I get from my HT-Drive. The TS9/808 is only a boost. The HT-Drive is a stand alone saturated overdrive.

My primary amp is a MesaBoogie Roadster. I use my HT-Drive to give me that "British" rock sound. I use it for high gain, Guns and Roses, Zakk Wylde, or other things that needs a good high saturation. It's smooth and not as gritty as the Mesa.

I bought an HT Drive to boost my JCA 20H. It works great. Like all Overdrive pedals, it is a bit noisy when you stop playing. Today I replaced the Sovtek tube with a low noise JJ, and it really warmed the tone up. I did spend a bit of time EQ'ing the pedal with the amp, but I'm very happy with it.

I am using HT-Drive to boost my JCM 800 amp, it's the greates booster in the universe, it doesn't sound like tube screamer at all, it's better !!! Check this out, this is my song recorded on JCM 800 boosted with HT-DRIVE.
