HT-dist pedal OUTPUT level mismatch

Hello
This pedal has 1 input and 2 outputs
I like the "EMULATED OUTPUT" which seems to be the one where the ISF knob is doing it's job
Problem: the level coming out of that is *much* quieter than the level coming out of the "OUTPUT" ouput
a) is there a technical fault here?
b) if not, is there a mod to fix this problem?
