Anyone have any idea how much the new Blackstar Delay and Mod Pedals
are going to cost?

Ok so its suposed to be in July.. dont know if thats for the states though. But anyways Im not really into effects but I do want a Delay pedal. Now these pedals are digital with a tube in them. Since there digtal is there much diffrence between the blackstars and lets say a boss? I dont want to spend maybe 100$ more if the blackstars arnt really that much better sound quality. What do you guys think? Thanks

Actually i am about to make a switch from multi fx to dedicated pedal.
I am eyeing BOSS for most of my need but blackstar fx pedals look and sounds great but are they worth it!

The other guitarist in my band just took delivery of the delay. I'll hear it in a few days and report back.

Depends on how you look at it. Tubes are going to create a fuller, warmer sound than most other pedals utilizing IC chips. Having said that, there are some MIGHTY FINE solid state pedals out there....Fulltone and Keeley make em and they are't cheap but, excellent pedals for the price. The Boss pedals are very reasonably priced but most of those are digital....I hate Boss pedals but a lot of guys swear by em and get good sounds out of em (I never could). I have an Akai analog delay that is pretty much a meat and potatoes kind of delay pedal but sounds EXCELLENT...old solid state bucket brigade chips in it that sounds perfect for what I do. I would understand why someone would prefer another delay pedal than the one I chose tho (there are a lot of digital delays that do a pretty dang good job of sounding analog as well as offering a whole lot more effect)....I like a lot of dirt and what are known as "non linearities" in my echo...it sounds a lot closer to what guys in the 70s used without having to shell out a bunch of money (like 600 plus dollars-US) for a 30 year old Roland Space Echo or a Maestro Echoplex.
