Anyone for "Gus G" tone? (New HT dirt pedal)

Discussion - HT Blackfire pedal. Gus G signature.

I wonder how it differs from the other HT-dist/distX?

Apparently Blackstar expects us to just guess about how it actually sounds because they’ve announced it without any sound clips.

I've never bought anything more expensive than a speaker by just listening to a sound-clip..........
although it would be nice to have even a vague idea what it would sound like, before driving to the music shop (150mi. round trip) to test one out, (The Venue series amp).

your petrol bill would be more than the pedal Image
hopefully there will be a you tube demo or something soon! Image

Wow! That’s one hell of a demo. Sounds like the HT-5 with the gain cranked and an overdrive in front of it to tighten the sound. That pedal with monitors is going to be every bedroom shredder’s perfect setup.

Yeah, got mine a few days ago...

Swapped out the ECC83/12AX7 a few times as I'm not a fan of the Sovtek. Here's what I've tried so far...

Mullard CV4004
Valvo ECC83 45' getter
RCA 7025

I've still got a Tung-Sol and an RCA blackplate to try out but so far I like the RCA 7025. I've also got a Mazda silver plate but that's found a home in my HT-5...
