I find the tone too tight and closed when playing my Ht-100 head through a blackstar 2x12 cab with celstion 70/80's. I dont mind the tone but it doesn't feel right. I wanna open up, loosen up and smooth out the tone.

I was thinking of trying the G12 T-75's or the Greenbacks.

Any suggestions out there to what speakers i could try?

both good choices - i prefer the 75's but its really subjective depending on what your looking for...

Would 2 greenbacks handle 100 watts? I would sugggest G12-65's or V-30's at a minimum (based on power handling). Mixing a V-30 with either a 65 or 75 is a popular combo. Matching watts will end up being the easy part... it's getting the tone you want that gets tricky. If you really want a greenback-ish flavor, look at WGS.... they have many variants based on the GB with higher power handling capabilities. T-75's will definitely work and easy to find used if you were to go that route.
