This is a really good, versatile amp. With the three channels & the footswitch I am able to get just about any sound I'm looking for.
I have this two weeks & have only played in my house so the master volume is set fairly low.
This is the settings that work well for me. I've used alot of different guitars with this & they all sounded good.
CLEAN: Voice button In, Vol between 1/4 & 1/2, Bass 1/2, Treble bet. 1/2 & 3/4
OD1: Voice In, Gain bet 1/4 & 1/2, Vol 1/2
OD2: Voice out, Gain almost 1/2, Vol 1/2
EQ: Bass & mid bet 1/2 & 3/4, Treble 1/2, ISF at 1/4
Reverb at 1/4 (used for clean channel sometimes)
Master: Resonance & Presence both at 1/2, Volume at 1/4 (up higher when my wife isn't home)
I use OD1 for rhythm, it sound very close to my JCM 800 with the above settings
I use OD2 for leads, Not too distorted but a nice boost.
Hope someone finds this useful.
My HT Stage 60 settings
i cheated....i pulled some different demos on this amp from youtube and paused the vids to copy the settings when i could see them...i actually was able to find severalm that i liked - i use these as a base line and tweak from there - i'm going to try them on this amp's first gig this weekend - if they are acceptable i''ll post them this weekend and you can try them for yourselves and see what you think - they sound good at home but stage levels are another matter and i havent used the pedalboard with these settings either...so we will see

Just in line with these comments, the Rock Covers setting supplied by Blackstar volume wise worked perfectly on stage, I tweaked a bit of the OD2 gain settings but at the edn of the night it was pretty spot on. This was with the kick miced and the second guitarist miced up as well. I just blasted out loud and proud.
But I'm still going to look into your settings and do a comparison

Glad to hear those worked out. I've been using barreldog's settings live, they sound great. I've also used the clean settings with just a metal zone pedal for some of the heavy stuff like Crazy Train, and the distortion along with the clean tubes does the trick.

IM New to Blackstar and the forum. I just got mt stage ht-60 . I was wondering if anyone had a good iron maiden setting from piece of mind powerslave era. thanks
I just set mine up like this with one exception - I've turned the ISF fully to the right aka UK and I'm LOVING the clean and OD2 - both are very Marshallesque. OD1 is a little dark and somewhat muffled particularly on my neck pickup (les paul w/ 57's). If I put the voice OUT, it sounds better, but almost too close to OD2.Barreldog wrote:This is a really good, versatile amp. it's also freaking LOUD, so I have to put my master down to between 8 & 9:00 oclock or I might go deaf lol.
