I thought id make a settings thread for the ht-5 since there wasnt one up already and i figured that one would be useful. Use these as a starting point to find the "tone in your head". Please try to use minimal external effects so the thread doesnt get too complicated.
Posts should look like
Bass- 4
Treble-7
Mid-2
Volume- 5
gain-6
channel-gain
Single coil or humbucker-Humbucker

It would be great if more people could contribute to this thread as I have recently got the HT-5R and I really like the two settings provided by Blackstar, especially the US blues crunch one.

I would like to know the settings used in the format above as well as what you name the tone so that I can try them out and get better at dialing in tones :-)

Also, please state whether it is for HT5 or HT-5R and if it is the latter, add the reverb setting!

Name - <Name of your Tone>
Channel - IF Channel = Clean <Insert Clean Tone setting>
ELSE <Insert Gain setting>
Volume -
Bass -
Mid -
Treble -
ISF -
Reverb - (IF HT-5R)
Single coil or humbucker -

Cheers,

Tom

Hi.
Actually this is my first post. I have been playing the HT-5 combo since june this year, it is the old version without reverb. I also bought a tube screamer to boost it, since I always found myself playing with gain on 10 all the time on the drive channel and still need more, anyway I'm quite satisfied with my tone now, I use it to cover hard rock stuff like mr.big, extreme, and adding some gain I can also use it for metal like A7X, bullet for my Valentine, etc.

Name - Versatile Rock/Metal
Channel - Drive
Gain - (all clockwise) on 1 for rock, on 3-4 for metal
Volume - bedroom player, volume rarely past 9 o clock
Bass - on 1 o clock
Mid - slighly lower than 9 o clock
Treble - slightly above 9 o clock
ISF - around 12.30
Dimarzio evolutions

TS9 setting :
Level full on
Drive 9 o clock
Tone full on

If I need more/less gain I will tweak the gain on HT5, because addiing drive on Ts9 also cut a bit of bass, and to me make the raspy TS clipping sound more prominent

Single coil or humbucker - Humbucker
