I notice most of the patches in the online community section have the TVP setting, and are written using a TVP enabled amp.
Can we start a thread ( if there isn't one already ) dedicated to using the id:core range of amps, that don't have the TVP setting??
It's kind of frustrating downloading a patch, only to have the warning that my amp doesn't support all the settings.

Anyone else up for this?? I have a few patches I have made on the id:core stereo 100 that I will upload with a search tag of ID:CORE.

I have an ID:Core 20, and I’ll go for that. I’m always downloading patches I can’t use due to the limitations of my amp.

I am a new guitarist and the is core 40 is my first amp. I was hoping to be able to download patches for my amp. Ian very disappointed. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. Or should the insider software need to be pointed to a different location?

I have an id:core 150 and rarely have issues downloading the TVP patches. Sometimes the TVP patch is mixed up on the ID:Core (e.g. the TVP patch has a Chorus setting which apppears as Octaver on the ID:Core as an example). Just adjust the ID:Core setting til they match the original settings on the TVP patch.

As for the TVP tube setting: stick with the 6L6 patches for distortion and EL84 for clean settings. If different TVP tube settings are used in the patch, tweak your ISF and EQ controls to dial in the sound you like.

And yes, we can start our own patches here by calling them ID:Core _________.

it doesn't mean that all time the patch will give you the same result.

I have just started to work/play with the patches on my ID:CORE 100. I have found that some of the patches don't work because they don't have the correct info in the .bstar file. For instance, I downloaded ACOUSTIC SOUND.bstar and because it did not work, I decided to open it up with a text editor and here is what was on the inside:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>404 Not Found</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Not Found</h1>
<p>The requested URL was not found on this server.</p>
<hr>
<address>Apache/2.4.29 (Ubuntu) Server at www.blackstarinsider.co.uk Port 80</address>
</body></html>

Obviously nothing useful.
Here is what's in a CARLOS SANTANA MESA.bstar file:

Now that makes more sense to me.

All this to say, we may be able to edit some of these files with a text editor program and get what we need to make some of these patches designed for other amps to sound right on our.

I think it's a great idea to prefix our uploaded patches with ID:Core...

I just tried the naming convention ID:CORE and unfortunately Macs don't appear to like it. Can I suggest: IDCORE... instead?

Hi,
Did this get any further? Just new in on this with an ID CORE STEREO 20 V2 and a PC. Having read these posts I find myself a bit crushed regarding the lack of patches for the ID CORE range. It was one of the selling points for me but it would appear all is not what it first seems.

Would really appreciate a current update on this topic please If anybody knows.

Regards
Andrew
