Blackstar INSIDER patches not working with FS-11

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I have been searching the internet and cannot find an answer. I recently purchased an ID CORE 40w amplifier and FS-11 Footswitch from Guitar Center and I have found that the footswitch does not work in mode 2. When putting the FS-11 in mode 2, the left button (used to change channels in mode 1) switches the amp back to mode 1, and the right button (used to toggle effects in mode 1) does nothing at all. Because of this, I can only use the two channels in mode 1 and have to change patches using the software. Is this a problem on my part or did I get a faulty footswitch?
