HELP - Live Logic 6 - Abelton Live 11 Record Button mapping issue

Hi need some help please.
Just received my unit, and I am baffled.
I have mapped the PLAY, STOP, & RECORD buttons to the Live Logic 6 but have an issue with ONLY the RECORD mapping.
The STOP and PLAY work as they should, however, the RECORD acts like a momentary button.
When you press the pedal button assigned to RECORD, recording only occurs when the footswitch is pressed/engaged, and when you lift your foot, Abelton continues in PLAY mode.
I confirmed this is set to TOGGLE, but for the life of me cannot figure out what is going on.
See below my settings.
I have upgraded firmware to current.
I have tried it on various footswitch positions, still the same result.
Again, PLAY and STOP are configured the same way and work fine.
Please help, driving me a bit nuts.

On Value = 0
