Blackstar ID Core 10 V3 vs PB-1 Powerbank connectivity

I have a Blackstar ID Core V3 amp, which powers on just fine with the AC/DC adapter supplied. It will NOT, however, power on with the PB-1 Powerbank.
The adapter identifies its output as 10V-3A.
The PB-1 gives its output as 12V-6A.
The PB-1 is specifically identified as a power source for the amplifier.
The (short) cord supplied for the connection from the PB-1 to the amp fits either end to either receptacle.
What is the problem?

I found my own answer:
The PB-1 instructions say to turn it on by pushing the [indistinguishable] button FOR USB USE, but that is a separate, free-standing instruction. The paragraph for "Powering via DC Output" first tell you to connect the PB-1 to the target unit, and ensure the input voltage is 12V... "The ...PB-1 can power an audio-based product..." etc. IT NEVER SAYS TO TURN IN ON.
(For what it's worth, one might want to put a white paint dot on the button so it can be found.)
This is piss-poor instructional writing.
