The new version of Blackstar Insider version 1.6.2.122 is available for download.

Blackstar responded very quickly to the problems found in v1.6.1.102. Bravo. :)
We have a new version and I am going to test it this weekend and I will post my comments.

Later... 8-)

I've got one user on the unofficial community that states his ID:Core 20 was bricked with the update. He's waiting to hear back from Blackstar.

If any of you run the update, please post your experience, whether it be positive or negative.

Thanks Myk!

Back story:

So followed directions after starting up my Core20. Let it upgrade and then told me a firmware was available followed directions for that. Told me i might have to restart if lights flashing.

No lights at all. no sound. not recognized by comp or insider SW.

my system does see the USB for about 5 seconds it lights USB port to show activity then dies out.

Have rebooted with USB on and off. have re powered after re seating power supply. tried to do a factory restore but wont power on to do the restore.

well hopefully it does something again other than look nice sitting on my console.

Thanks Guys!

Al

Well, now I am not sure I should update. I have a ID-TVP Series not a ID-Core.
Is it just a problem with the ID-Core product ?

I just did the update on my ID Core 20 and no problems to report. Everything seems fine!

Hi i recently installed v1.61 firmware on my id:30 amp updated it no problem, then last night tried the
newer v1.6.2.122 but it does not update my amp firmware just runs the insider software and insider reports in the settings menu that my amp firmware is v1.51 is this correct?

I guess the answer is Yes .. though I agree it is all a bit confusing.

I assume it is correct due to the fact that when I previously installed (the defective) Insider v1.6.0 and eventually successfully (?) updated the firmware, my amp was reported as having firmware v1.5.0. The reported firmware on my amp was then revised to v1.5.1 when I updated Insider to v1.6.1.102.

With the latest Insider v1.6.2.122 there was no resulting change to the reported firmware on the amp; Insider still reports the firmware as v1.5.1.

Unless someone knows differently :?: :?: :?:

Hmm sounds like i'm in the same boat as most people at the moment! couple of things i noticed on this firmware V1.51 (as reported by insider) the preset volume (next to gain) if i lowered it then saved it then changed to another preset then back it reverted to original settings (not saved) that was editing through a macbook to amp..
Also with insider running if i alter anything on a preset then store though front of the amp holding the
1 2 3 4 buttons the preset name stored in amp changes to sound1 or sound2 or whatever number i hit and loses the patch name.
