It's just modeling regardless of what "marketing term" has been chosen to spin it.
In patent/copyright terms it would be deemed "common knowledge". Nothing that AxeFX, Kemper, Softube, Fender, Marshall, etc, etc, hasn't already been doing long before Blackstar........

I dont care its likely not a patent but its definitely NOT an original yamaha concept.And yamaha reps are chanting the whole dont emulate...create moto thing....sounds very familiar...
