While they can't say when, they did assure me that tablet Insider is on the 'to do'' list.
Know what's on my "to do" list? Buy a Blackstar ID amp. How about you do your "to do" first, Blackstar?

What problem are you having on PC?

I had some trouble installing it, but it was all ok when I uninstalled it first.

New Core 40 owner. Bought to have in my mancave living room along with my Squire CV Tele for when inspiration hits and don't want to go back to the studio room and crank up everything. And Android based Insider would be a HUGE plus. Having my tablet there in front of me instead of having to use the PC desktop would be great!

I have both - the Amplifi 150 and an ID:100, and think they are both great, just in different ways.

The Amplifi is the best practice and song learning device I've come across, and I've even gigged with mine on a number of occasions, it's more than loud enough. The sound at gig volumes is also very good but not great - I think a lot of the complaints about the tone at volume is that people set the patches at low volume and are then surprised that it sounds harsh at higher volumes. I had to edit all my patches to take treble and presence down to get the results I wanted. However I wouldn't want to use the Amplifi for gigs too often as it doesn't feel sturdily built and I'm not sure just how much of this abuse it would take! The app is good, but useless for gigging as everything takes too long, and I just wouldn't trust the connection, plus the footswitch is disabled when the app is connected...

The ID is almost the opposite - great for finding that sound with just a few turns of the dials, built like a tank, and just sounds absolutely fantastic at gig levels with a 4x12 cab. Whilst the interface software on a tablet would be nice, it would be unlikely I'd use it for gigging, especially as the foot pedal is so versatile anyway... Would be an interesting experiment!

If I could only keep one, for me the Blackstar is a truly pro piece of kit, is incredibly versatile, and sounds huge. No contest, but please don't knock the Amplifi before giving it a good try out, it is still a great idea, mostly well executed, and the perfect practice tool...

Cheers, G

Couldn't agree more G
I own an ID260tvp and the Amplfi 150

The Blackstar is the best thing out on the road, and I wouldn't dream of using anything else to gig !
The Amplifi is the best thing at home, wouldn't dream of using anything else to rehearse and jam !

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum today. Got myself brand new idcore Beam 2x10-watt bluetooth guitar combo amp a few months back and loving it, great addition to my mini studio setup. Bought a second-hand samsung tab s tablet from an online used goods a few days ago so wanted to see if I could use it in my setup. Noticed this post about software for tablets but there hasn't really been an update for the last 6 months.

Wondering if there's been any developments as software is improving all the time. If anyone knows of any new software out that you can use between an android tablet and blackstar amp then i'd be interested to know?

Thanks,

Ad

I spoke to the nice gentlemen from Blackstar at the Great British Guitar Show last week.

While they can't say when, they did assure me that tablet Insider is on the 'to do'' list.

So now I can start picturing my iPad on a nice stand right where I can touch those virtual dials and buttons!
It's been nearly five years since you spoke with the nice gentlemen from Blackstar.
Are you still picturing your iPad on a nice stand right where I can touch those virtual dials and buttons?
I've pretty much given up on the idea. :)
